Chapter 1 - Application Latter (Part 1)

Hello everyone.. back to again in my blog, How are you today? I hope you are healthy. Here i will to explain about application letter Part 1 👇

A. Definition Of Application Latter :

A letter of application, also known as a cover letter, is a document sent with your resume to provide additional information about your skills and experience to an employer . The letter of application is intended to provide detailed information on why you are are a qualified candidate for the job.

B. Purpose Of Application latter :

The application letter should let the employer know what position you are applying for , what makes you a strong candidate, why they should select you for an interview, and how you will follow up. 

C. Social Function Of Applications Latter :

The function of an application letter in general is to apply for a job in order to get a position in a company.  Thus, the most appropriate option according to the purpose of a job application letter is “to get a position”

D. Generic Structure Of Application Latter :

 1. Heading : A letter of application should begin with both you and the employer's contact information (name, address, phone number, email) followed by the date).

2. The Salutation : 

  Dear Sir, Dear madam, Dear Mr. Alvin

3. Body of the letter :

 a.) Opening paragraph;

 Contains the applicant's intent in the form of the desired position according to the published/available vacancies. Example :

 I am writing to apply for the.....

 I wish to apply for the position as a ….

 b.) Middle paragraph;

 Briefly describe the applicant's experience/education/skills/advantages

 c.) Closing paragraph;

 The part that contains hope to get attention. Example :

 I hope my qualifications and working experiences could be your consideration and look forward to your reply.

 4. Complimentary Close (Closing Greetings) :

 Example : as = Best / Sincerely / Sincerely yours / Faithfully / Respectfully yours. 

 5. Signature(Signature)

 I recently completed my bachelor's degree from Bimus University, majoring in Accounting.  Before graduating I participated in several accounting competitions. I achieved many accomplishments. I can work as a team or individually. I am good in operating computer and have a good skill in English.
